Flooding

Kirklington has a dedicated team of residents who are trained Flood Wardens (volunteers) and the village also has an Emergency Response Plan (as attached to this page).

Thanks to a dedicated group of residents and local landowners, there is a co-ordinated approach to all matters related to flooding - whether planning for the future, ongoing maintenance, or 'in the moment' reactive action and support.  Works include liaising with NCC and water/drainage boards to drive improvements and action.
